Prerequisites to register
  • Secondary 5 diploma or equivalent:

    – France: Level “first” or BAC,
    – Belgium: Level "première" or BAC,
    – United States: High School diploma
    – United Kingdom: G.C.E. Advanced Levels,
    – India: Higher Secondary School Certificate / All India Senior School Certificate (SSC) / Indian School Certificate (ISC),
    – Mexico : Bachillerato General,
    – Brasil: Certificado de Ensino Médio,
    – Colombia: Bachillerato.

  • Have a fluent level in French or English.
    To be admitted to a French or English program, you must have sufficient language skills to be comfortable and to make the most of it.

  • Have an interest to learn and a passion for Audio and Music production techniques.

  • Professional experience is not required.
    Our program is designed to train beginners as well as to allow people with some background to go further and enhance their audio-related career.

    Once you have received your acceptance letter, you will be able to start your immigration process.

    In order to come and study in Québec as an international student, you will need to obtain:

  • The C.A.Q. (Québec Acceptance Certificate)
    This document is required in order to enter the province of Quebec. You can obtain information on the application and processing times on the “Immigration Québec” website.

  • Study Permit
    This document is required to study in Canada. More information on the application process and processing times can be found on the Immigration Canada website.
  • Assurance Maladie
    In order to obtain your health insurance please contact us to get a selection of private institutions.

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is MANDATORY to have a private health insurance policy before entering Canada to cover any incident, including medical emergencies.
    Proof of health and drug insurance may be requested by a Canada Border Services Officer.
    You will also need to provide proof to our admissions department through the email address : admissions@unica.college.
    Unica College (formerly Musitechnic Formation) allows you to benefit from a special rate thanks to our partnership with the private health insurance provider : www.guard.me.

    For more information, you can also contact our admissions department. If you already have health insurance in your country, you must verify the validity of your coverage in Canada, including the province of Quebec.

    Special note:
    Students from the following countries can apply for Quebec health insurance (once they arrive) and receive medical coverage from the Quebec government (usually in effect 14 days after the government receives the application)

    Once you have obtained health insurance from the Quebec government, you will be able to cancel your private health insurance (check with your insurer for the terms and conditions of cancellation).

    You have several options for private health insurance; we suggest that you consult this site to compare insurance companies used by students: fees are set by private insurers and may vary depending on the services provided (make sure that your private health and hospitalization insurance covers the entire duration of your stay in Quebec, Canada if you are not a resident of the countries listed above).

    Don't forget: Even if you already have coverage in your home country, you must ensure that it is valid and can be used in the province of Quebec.

    For students coming from France:There is an agreement between France and Quebec that allows you to benefit from health care in Quebec while being protected by French social security.

    Pay the tuition fee for 1 session of your 16-month A.C.S. training program in Recording and Sound Design as an international student. By choosing this option, you'll need to execute this payment at the beginning of each session along the 16 months of the training program.
