Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is MANDATORY to have a private health insurance policy before entering Canada to cover any incident, including medical emergencies.
Proof of health and drug insurance may be requested by a Canada Border Services Officer.
You will also need to provide proof to our admissions department through the email address :

Students from the following countries can apply for Quebec health insurance (once they arrive) and receive medical coverage from the Quebec government (usually in effect 14 days after the government receives the application)

Once you have obtained health insurance from the Quebec government, you will be able to cancel your private health insurance (check with your insurer for the terms and conditions of cancellation).
You have several options for private health insurance; we suggest that you
consult this site to compare insurance companies used by students: fees are set by private insurers and may vary depending on the services provided (make sure that your private health and hospitalization insurance covers the entire duration of your stay in Quebec, Canada if you are not a resident of the countries listed above).
Don't forget: Even if you already have coverage in your home country, you must ensure that it is valid and can be used in the province of Quebec.
For students coming from France:There is an agreement between France and Quebec that allows you to benefit from health care in Quebec while being protected by French social security.
